1. Gaining perspective: an analysis report of your situation

I always start with an analysis report of your situation. This is a multi-page report whose role is to put down in writing the key points of your situation. This document, created from your information and following an initial meeting, is the result of precise work with an external perspective. It will allow you to articulate and prioritize the characteristics of your situation.

2. Clarifying objectives

Once we've reached conclusions about your situation, we can then clarify the objectives. This step is critical, aimed at establishing the non-negotiable objectives that must be achieved by the technical decision to be made, and specifying which objectives are secondary.

3. Analyzing the realm of possibilities

Once your situation is well understood and your objectives are precisely defined and prioritized, with an external perspective and my diverse experiences, I'll be able to work on the various existing solutions. Without bias, and with the necessary time to study different solutions, I'll be able to propose a short list of possible solutions, with a detailed report for each on objective achievement, constraints, costs, advantages, and disadvantages.

4. Making a decision

With a clear situation, precise objectives, and a thorough list of possible solutions, making a technical decision becomes much simpler. To be clear, I'm not the one making the decision for you. I give you my opinion, but you decide, based on the elements I've been able to provide you.

  1. You present your situation to me via the form at the bottom of the page
  2. I respond to schedule an initial one-hour meeting to discuss your situation
  3. If I can't help you, I'll redirect you to colleagues. If I can help you, I'll send you a payment link to begin the workshop.

Key workshop stages

  1. I create the analysis report of your situation.
  2. Iteration cycle if necessary to refine the analysis report and objectives. (asynchronously or via video call)
  3. I conduct the study on possible solutions.
  4. You take time to review both documents.
  5. You schedule, according to your agenda and needs, a final video call to discuss the presented solutions and establish your decision.
